Shizuka New York:
Offering unique Japanese facials and western medical treatments!
Japanese tea, hot towels, bathrobes, wooden clogs, reed screens, flower art… the spa is filled with Japanese sensibility and culture.
“Japanese hospitality” and “advanced western therapies” have combined to create the beautiful spa, Shizuka New York. We may say it is the first Japanese spa that succeeded in the past years while deeply rooted in competitive New York City.
Licensed as a cosmetologist as well as laser and electrolysis specialist, Shizuka started her career from a small space in the office of her husband, well-known dermatologist, Robert M. Bernstein, M.D. Since the opening of her own spa decade ago, the spa has been covered in numerous beauty and fashion publications including Marie Claire, Shape, Essence, OK!, Women's Wear Daily, Time Out, Vogue (JP), and have been seen on CNN, CNBC, Fox News, NBC's Today Show, CBS's Early Showand The Doctors, ABC's The View, and more.
Not only Shizuka’s superb skills, but also the spa’s warm hospitality and care for customers must have earned them their great reputation.
Try the “Signature Micro Facial (80 minutes, $160)”, known for its thorough cleansing and special mask, as well as relaxing massages on the neck, arm, leg, and scalp. It makes your skin smooth and mind happy. “Geisha Facial” is also unique. This facial uses natural bird poop (sterilized Nightingale Droppings), which brighten and soften the complexion (50 min, $180).
Also, check out their high-tech therapies -- Microcurrent Facial, Ionizing Facial, Gentle Waves LED, and Crystal Peel as well as medical treatments such as botox and fillers, which are offered by Robert Silich, M. D.
Shizuka New York has its original skincare brand. They are natural anti-aging & anti-acne skincare systems featuring Japanese botanical extracts and mineral water originated on Mt. Fuji. They have been well accepted both in the U.S. and Japan. We should keep an eye out for their next move!
