The “Kampo museum” is Japan’s first and only space entirely dedicating to Kampo (traditional Chinese medicine). The space consists of the “Kampo Boutique”, “Kampo School”, “Kampo restaurant”, and “Kampo Therapy”. At the “Kampo Boutique”, you can purchase a variety of natural and oriental products such as teas, skincare products, books, snacks, supplements, bath products, and more. They also provide a free Kampo consultation where an apothecary/herbal doctor prescribes specific Chinese medicine according to your health and beauty needs based on a one-on-one consultation (reservations are recommended).
The “Kampo Therapy” offers oriental face, foot, and body massages to stimulate pressure points using the highest quality Chinese and aromatherapy oils. You can also enjoy medicinal vegetarian food that is good for your health, yet delicious, at the vegetarian esthetic restaurant, “Kampo Restaurant” called “ IOzen” .
If you want to learn about Kampo, the “Kampo School” is the place to go. It holds various seminars and workshops. The topic varies from Chinese medicine, tai chi, macrobiotics, phytotherapy, feng shui, ayurveda, qigong, and more. Beginners are welcome. If you want to become a Chinese medicine practitioner or Kampo counselor, they also offer serious “professional courses”, too.
